New underlayment, drip edge and flashing
Soffit and ridge vents set to the attic's size
Magnet sweep of the yard before we leave

The job
Tear-off to cleanup, in five steps

Uriel checks the vents, the baffles and the underside of the deck before anything comes off.

Step 2: Tear-off
Genaro's crew strips to the deck. Tarps cover the house and the plants, and nails go in a magnet bin.
- 03
Step 3: Deck check
Soft or split sheets are replaced at the price per sheet already in your estimate.
- 04
Step 4: Dry-in and build back
Underlayment, flashing, then shingle or metal, with the vents that were planned.
- 05
Step 5: Walk-through
Dalila walks the finished roof and the attic with you and answers what is left.
About replacement
How long does a replacement take?
Most houses take a few days if the weather holds. The estimate gives the crew's plan, and we call if rain moves it.
Can you put new shingles over old ones?
We tear off. Going over old layers hides the deck and the attic from view, and that is what we are there to check.
Will the new roof come with a warranty?
The estimate says in writing what the workmanship warranty covers, for how long, and what voids it. The shingle maker's warranty is separate and comes from the maker.
Ready for the attic check?
It comes before any roof number.
