About the firm

Twelve people, one attic ladder

Carbajal Roofing & Attic is a family firm in the Yakima Valley. We got started doing what the big outfits skip, which is looking up in the attic.

Dalila Carbajal runs the firm and writes every estimate. The crew and the office are twelve in all. Spanish and English are both spoken in the yard.

“We would rather lose a job than put a roof over a bad attic.”

How we work

Three habits

  1. 01

    We look up first

Every job starts in the attic, with a light, before anyone talks about shingles.

  2. 02

    We write it down

The estimate, the changes and the warranty terms are on paper.

  3. 03

    We clean up

A magnet sweep of the yard, and the old material leaves in the truck.
